A movie theatre for downtown Albion is one step closer to reality as Albion College announces a $220,000 pledge in support of the Bohm restoration campaign, spearheaded by the locally based Friends of the Bohm Theatre.

Kevin Metz, assistant professor of chemistry, was featured in a recent article in Chemical & Engineering News, a magazine and website produced by the American Chemical Society. The article, "Lab Lessons for Reluctant Chemists," explored three innovative examples of undergraduate chemistry offerings geared toward students not interested in a career in chemistry, including Metz's honors course, Great Issues in Science: Nanoscience.

Recent graduate Genevieve Kukurugya-Rabaut heads for France later this year, at the invitation of the French government. Kukurugya-Rabaut was accepted to the Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF), a program of the national government that provides American English teachers for the public school system. She will spend seven months teaching in the Versailles area, near Albion's sister cities of Noisy-le-Roi and Bailly.
